Adding Songs

Copy Or Cache Then Run MediaMerge

To add your songs:

  1. Copy or cache new songs.

  2. Run Concrete MediaMerge to update your library from Self-DJ Setup (touch Add).

IMPORTANT

To stop MediaMerge before automatically seaching your entire hard drive C: click the Cancel button when timer is on.

  • To add songs, browse to set the Search path to the folder containing your sound files and then click Start.  Don't put anything in the Merge To text boxPut a destination in this box only when using Merge to also copy files.

  • You can run MediaMerge, either from 1) Self-DJ in Setup mode (touch Add), 2) use a desktop short-cut to ConcreteMerge.exe in the Self-DJ folder, or 3) from the menu (man icon) in Groovin.

  • Concrete MediaMerge is included with both Self-DJ and Concrete DJ software to manage your media library.  It is a handy tool for merging multiple music collections from different sources, like external hard drives and jump drives or iPods, into one drive or folder by browsing to a Merge To path.  However, be sure to leave the Merge To text box blank when using MediaMerge just to add songs.  Click here for more information on what MediaMerge can do on our Concrete DJ web site or check out the Self-DJ help file.
